Your privacy matters.
Effective November 1, 2026. This policy describes the directory operated by The Order Guys.
What we collect
Browsing does not require an account. We store your explicit theme preference in a cookie for up to one year. Voting uses email verification, a secure session cookie and a record of your choices. Staff sign-in uses separate secure sessions and mandatory authenticator verification.
Listing suggestions and owner claims collect the contact details and evidence you submit. Contact details and private evidence are encrypted at rest in the application. Do not submit government identification or payment details. Verification emails are separate from marketing; we do not enrol you in marketing or run analytics by default.
Location and third parties
Near me requests browser location only when you click it. Precise coordinates remain in tab memory and transient requests; they are excluded from application URLs, caches and logs. The map sends normal network requests, including your IP address, to OpenFreeMap and its delivery infrastructure. External menu, order and directions links open third-party services with their own policies.
Retention
Resolved form submissions and owner-claim evidence are deleted after 90 days. Voter contact identities are anonymized 180 days after their last closed campaign when no newer campaign requires them. Verification links expire after 15 minutes; expired challenges and sessions are cleaned up. Audit history is kept for 24 months. Operational backups are retained for 30 days. Published result snapshots and public listing facts remain as historical records; backup copies age out on their normal schedule.
Requests and safeguards
Privileged access is restricted to authenticated staff with MFA. Public responses do not expose voter emails, claim evidence, private tokens or admin notes. To request access, correction or deletion, theorderguys@gmail.com. We verify requests proportionately before acting. Legal obligations may require limited retention, documented by staff.
